It is said that at this time, the spirits depart Pitru-loka and spend a month living in the dwellings of their ancestors till the sun enters the next zodiac, Scorpio (Vrichchhika), and there is a full moon. In the first part, during the dark fortnight, Hindus are required to honour their ancestors.

अगर किसी भी तरह से नवां भाव या नवें भाव का मालिक राहु या केतु से ग्रसित है तो यह सौ प्रतिशत पितृदोष के कारणों में आजाता है।
